The Cohn Restaurant Group owns and operates some of San Diego’s best restaurants, and The Gaslamp Strip Club may be their most innovative establishment to date. To stay at the top of the game, The Cohn Restaurant Group always goes the extra mile for their employees and guests. They engage their team in practices that set themselves apart from competitors, and The Gaslamp Stip Club is a great example.
Refresh
The Cohn Restaurant Group believes in giving back. They actively participate in local associations that benefit the community. David Cohn (president and owner) is a board member of the California Restaurant Association and the Gaslamp Quarter Association. He was also the former President for The San Diego Restaurant Association, as well as past Chairman of the Board for the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau. David Cohn and his team of managers regularly involve themselves in SDSU’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Program, participating as guest speakers and giving restaurant tours.
Connect
The Gaslamp Strip Club hosts events for employees and guests. They hold orientation and training for new team members, and meetings for employees to discuss everything from guest feedback to new ways to deliver unique experiences. The Gaslamp Strip Club takes advantage of holidays and events, creating promotions for different celebrations throughout the year. The most popular promotions include: “Batter Up” that takes place every home game and “New Year’s Eve at Gaslamp Strip Club” that includes a special 4-course menu.
Energize
The Gaslamp Strip Club does a fantastic job connecting their employees with the restaurant concept and theme, especially the front of the house staff. Small details in the uniform and dress code really put the employees in a role to create a unique guest experience. Some even use “stripper names”, such as Passion and Misty, which takes attention to detail to a whole new level. The concept is a great one, but it won’t work unless everyone has a shared vision and energy. The team at the Gaslamp Strip Club is driven and brings the required energy to be as successful as they are.
